Beth began giving the pilot training courses in 1985. She has trained over 200 students since and has given them more than 1200 hours of flight instruction. She served multiple terms on the Albuquerque Aerostat Ascension Association board. Today, Elizabeth Wright-Smith also serves as an FAA appointed Designated Pilot Examiner.
Based in Albuquerque, Elizabeth Wright-Smith is designated by the FAA to give pilot exams. All scheduling is individualized. The courses and training are enhanced by other very experienced Flight Instructors, Troy Bradley and Don Boyer.
Once you have completed your hot air balloon pilot training, you will need the Practical Test, commonly called a checkride; the “final test” in order to obtain your Private, Commercial or Add-On pilot certification. The test has both oral questioning plus flying tasks.
