Iset Tower Acrobatic BASE Jump, Yekaterinburg, Russia

Pretty lucky contribution to the BASE Jumping section on Adrex.com, this time from Russia. Long jump over the safety net, two flips back and the parachute opening. All this just in three seconds, and within only 140 meters! That was the bold piece of Russian BASE jumper Ratmir Nagimyanov, who was the first who tried the BASE jump from a newly built Iset Tower in Yekaterinburg. As you can see here, the Russian BASE Jumping school is on the rise.

Iset Tower is still under construction. It is promised to be the tallest Russian building outside Moscow, with a height of 209 meters (52 floors). The jump by Ratmir was performed from the 38th floor. Iset Tower project shell be finished in 2014. Until then, any attempts to BASE jump here are unofficial :-)

Yekaterinburg is one of the largest Russian cities with population over 1,3 mil. inhabitants. The city of Yekaterinburg can be reached both from Russian and some European cities by several airlines that started or resumed flying to the city's Koltsovo International Airport.
