Kitesurf Camp in Sardinia

Sardinia, an autonomous territory belonging to Italy, is the second largest island in the Mediterranean Sea with plenty of wind and waves that makes it the best place for a good kitesurfing. If you are one of those people that have taken up kitesurfing but are going nowhere with it, Ozone Wave Camp held in Sardinia from 24th to 31st of May, 2014 might be a good way to start over. You’ll be at the beach every day while getting expert training and daily progress of your skills.

The Camp

Marc Ramseier, a wave couch with 15 years of experience, through his "Kitesurf Wave Clinic" in cooperation with Ozone Kites and their international pro rider Renzo Mancini will take care of you during an exciting week in Sardinia.

Kitesurf Wave Clinic was formed by a pro kitesurfer, Marc Ramseier to make it as easy and as quick as possible for everybody to learn how to ride waves. Marc is the right man for the job.  He will make sure that you are going to understand how you need to progress in your wave riding when attending his clinics. To see Marc shred, check out the below video.

The camp is suitable for all riders with at least level 5, which means you need to be able to go and stay upwind and you need to master turning and jibing on a twintip. Whatever level you are above that, Marc will be able to improve what you could do better and show you what is next. Any experience with surfboard and/or waves is good and beneficial to further push your level but it is NOT required.

Location

It's all-inclusive deal, the only thing you have to do is to find and book a flight to Olbia, Sardinia's northeastern town located in the Gallura sub-region. The town is a tourist destination with a commercial centre so you do not have to worry about buying all the necessities if needed. When you will have landed at the airport, the crew take care of you from that moment on so you don't have to worry about being lost in a foreign country either.

Wind & Weather

If there is no wind, there will be more theoretical stuff plus go surf or SUP together at additional cost for renting surf/SUP boards. However, the best windy months are May to October. It is not a thermal area and therefore the wind isn't as predictable as elsewhere but due to its more cycles there is plenty of beaches with different weather conditions that makes this place a gem. Temperatures range from 20°C in May to 28°C in August.

Water

Water temperatures range from 16°C in May to 26°C in September.
