Skydive City - Skydiving Center in Zephyrhills Florida

A history of skydiving in Florida's Zephyrhills goes back 50 years to the early 1960's. Zephyrhills Municipal Airport, located southeast, is probably the only U.S. airport with the longest continuous history of skydiving. Right there, on the southeast side of the airport operates Skydive City, one of the World's Premiere DZ's. Since 1990, carrying on the long tradition of high quality skydiving, training and fun, they cater to skydivers and students from all of the continents as they are conveniently located from two international airports.

Skydive City has also hosted its share of world class events. In 1998, 2003, and 2004 they set and broke new World Records with 121 skydivers forming 2 separate formations on the same skydive. They set another World Record with 42 skydivers building 2 formations at NIGHT! In October of 1998 their own Team Z-Spot won the gold medal in 4 Way Formation Skydiving (Advanced Class) at the US Nationals, and in 1999, won the Bronze medal in the same event in Sebastian Florida. March of 1999, they lead the country with a record setting performance of three consecutive 100 Way dives for the National Speed 100 competition.

Their USPA affiliated drop zone, located approximately a 1/2-hour drive from Tampa and Lakeland, and about a 1-hour drive from Orlando, St. Petersburg and Clearwater, offers 14 acres of property, with lots of area for free camping and plenty of amenities such as a 1 acre large swoop pond, designated for experienced jumpers looking for even more of a thrill, and one of the best and largest ones in the country.

Whether it's your first tandem jump or regular licensed jumps you are looking for, TK Hayes, Skydive City's manager with over 32 years of skydiving experience and co. will make you sure to receive the finest instruction and care. Skydive City moreover offers an instructional rating school, wing-suiting or freeflying. Check them out and enjoy scenic views of Zephyrhills out of their newly acquired Twin Otter that holds up to 22 skydivers and C-182 and C-206 aircrafts from 13500'.

The DZ's open year round weather permitting from 8-9am to Sunset. If you have a license and your own gear, the jump price is 25 bucks, the area also offers equipment rentals and store, rigging service, coaching, training, full food services and even a wingsuit school. Skydive City can easily accommodate large groups , there are about 70 RV slots available for you to stay longer period as well as hot showers, laundry, and shuttle service to the major airports.
