Skydive Kansas City - One of the Safest Drop Zones in the Midwest

Chris Hall started skydiving at the age of 18 and has traveled the country working for some of the largest skydiving centers in the US. His brother John started skydiving in 1973 and has witnessed the industry go from old military round parachutes to today's modern Ram-air canopies. Together, they founded Skydive Kansas City in 1998. Today, they have become one of the most experienced drop zones in the region with the most up-to-date skydiving equipment available in the Midwest.

Located just 45 minutes south of Kansas City at the Butler Memorial Airport, the Skydive Kansas City was opened by Hall brothers in May 1998. John has been known in the KC area for years as one of the best demonstration jump skydivers in the area making jumps all over the metro since the early 70's. Chris started skydiving at the age of 18 and has since traveled the country with his expert skills in freefall photography and even competed in the ESPN X games Pro Tour in 1996. With a combination of over 7000 jumps between the two of them , they form a family and staff that is committed to offering the very best first jump with years of experience and dedication allowing their customers the very best possible experience in the sky. So what exactly can you expect?

Skydive Kansas City's Facilities

The USP member offers new, state-of-the-art ram air student parachute equipment with Vigil AAD's (Automatic Activation Device) on all their equipment, 2100 sq. ft of indoor carpeted packing, climate controlled classrooms, big screen TV’s, and over 200 acres of landing area.

Skydive Kansas City's Aircraft

Skydive Kansas City offers the fastest climbing Beechcraft C-90 King Air, that can take you to a higher altitude (14,000 ft) really quick (a short 10 minute plane ride). Apart from this twin-turboprop beauty, the largest fleet of skydiving aircraft in this region complement with another Beechcraft and two Cessna 182's. All aircrafts are highly maintained and well cared of by FAA certified mechanics specializing in skydiving aircraft and are flown by highly experienced commercial pilots trained only.

In addition to skydiving, the KC drop zone has a full service rigging loft offering minor to major maintenance on your skydiving gear. Even, KC can set you up with all your equipment and gear needs - they stock several used systems and are dealers for most skydiving manufactured equipments built and certified in the US. There are public restrooms,  spectator areas with shades, picnic tables, bonfire pit, free camping and RV Park with 30amp power and water hookups, hot shower house facility and lots of parking space at the drop zone.
