Skydive Monroe - East of Atlanta Skydiving, USA

Skydive Monroe is located at the Monroe-Walton County Airport in Monroe, Georgia, approximately 40 miles east of Atlanta and just a short drive from the University of Georgia in Athens. As a member of the United States Parachute Association (USPA) Skydive Monroe safety is their priority, only jumpmasters and instructors certified by the USPA will assist with your skydive. Skydive Monroe skydiving teaching include Accelerated Free Fall (AFF), Instructor Assisted Deployment (IAD) and Tandem Progression.

Skydive Monroe Aircraft
Skydive Monroe operate two planes for skydiving - Cessna 182 and Beechcraft´s King Air.

With capacity of 4, their Cessna 182 is used primarily for the Instructor Assisted Program.

For bigger groups they also fly a twin-turboprop King Air that is able to get you to the altitude of 14 000 ft in just under 10 minutes (with capacity of 14 skydivers).

At Skydive Monroe they offer a clean, well-maintained facility including a clean packing area, observation decks, and spacious classrooms.
Monroe Airport
Located just 1 mile southeast from the city of Monroe, the Monroe-Walton County Airport is the city owned public airport with an asphalt surface measuring 5,000 by 75 feet (1,524 x 23 m). Its elevation is 875 feet (267 m) above sea level. The airport surroundings offer a fairly large landing space for skydivers. See the photo below.

Skydive Monroe Directions
From Central Atlanta or Midtown (and the same applies also for Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport) take I-85 North to Hwy 316 toward Athens. Follow 316 to Hwy 11 and turn right. Follow Hwy 11 into Monroe and turn left onto Spring Street. Go to the second light and turn right onto South Madison. Go 1.2 miles and turn left on Towler Street. The Skydive Monroe hangar is at the end of Towler Street. Parking is on the grass outside the fence.
