Skydive San Diego - SoCal's Major Dropzone

Skydive San Diego is a full-service parachute center located on a private airport just half an hour from downtown San Diego. Known for its mild year round climate and a long gorgeous coastline, the second largest Californian city is a perfect place to skydive all year long. Throw in great views of Coronado Island or the San Ysidro Mt Range on the ride to altitude and you get an incredible match. No wonder, the US Navy SEALs like to train at Skydive San Diego. Skydive San Diego is a USPA certified DZ owned and operated by Buzz Fink, a USPA AFF and Static-Line Instructor, Tandem Instructor Examiner, Safety and Training Advisor and PRO-rating holder. He and the co. offer thrilling jumps from 13,000ft out of their newest and largest jump planes in the skydiving industry, three Twin Otters that hold up to 23 skydivers and Blackhawk Grand Caravan that holds up to 18 skydivers. They fly fast and have great windows to enjoy the beautiful scenery that the California landscape has to offer. Especially the views of the ocean are incredible, you can see over 50 miles away on a clear day.

Whether you are a first timer or a regular jumper, Skydive San Diego has you covered. You can jump as a tandem or go solo. Experienced jumpers and even those who have just earned their A-license can attend the Flight 1 Canopy School that's been successfully operating since 2012. Lead by Scott Harper, whose accomplishments include being a member of US Team for canopy piloting, it is the school’s priority to provide the highest level of training from basic maneuvers to world level competition.

The DZ is open Monday to Sunday from 8 am to 5 pm and if you have your own Alicense and your own gear the jump fee is 25 bucks, the center also offers AFF and A-license programs, tunnel coaching and a gear rentals. To find out more about Skydive San Diego and available terms, check their website.
