Skydive Voss (Voss Fallskjermklubb) is the largest skydiving club in Norway by number of jumps. With activity all year round, they can serve everybody from beginners to top notch flyers. Skydive Voss dropzone is situated just 5 minute drive from the centre of Vossevangen, and only an hour drive from Bergen. From Bergen you simply follow road E16 east for some 100 km.
Skydive Voss was established in 1978 by Odd Dagfinn Hårklau, and today it has more than 1000 members, with more than 400 still active jumpers. The club provides comprehensive parachuting services including Tandems, A-licence courses, AFF and newly also the possibility to use a windtunnel to practise.
They have a 600 square metres clubhouse with a large lounge and an open fireplace, 18 bedrooms, showers⁄sauna, offices, classrooms, riggers loft, gear storage and shop. At the club they also offer accommodation either in the club house or in military barracks on the other side of the runway. You can also bring your own tent and camp in the woods around the dropzone.
Skydive Voss is starting their main season (2014) on April 19th. From the date it is possible to do a tandem jump every day. Until then there will be activity from time to time, that you have to contact them if you have any questions.
Voss Airport - Voss flyplass, Bømoen - is located in Bømoen, about 4 km (2.5 miles) east of Vossevangen and has a paved runway 1000/30 meters. Find the place on the map of Adrex.com Locations...
