Bird’s Paradise is Thailand’s home of extreme aviation and surface adventures. It is situated in Thailand’s northeastern Isan region. From skydiving lessons to flight instruction in ultralights provided in Thai or English, from mountain biking and wall climbing, with ATV rental, jet skiing, BB-gun range, obstacle course challenge games and more. It clearly represents one of the best dropzones of Southeast Asia.

Getting There

Arriving by Air

From Bangkok, arrange service from either Don Muang or Suvarnabhum International Airport to the Northeastern city of Udon Thani via Air Asia, Thai Air, or Nok Air. Each airline offers multiple daily arrivals into Udon Thani, with more holiday comparison available during the peak season from September through April.

Provide the resort staff with your arrival and departure plans to arrange a personal pick-up and delivery at Udon Thani Airport. Our driver will greet you at the gate and bring you to the resort, then return you well in time for your flight back (approximate cost $45 per person round trip, one-hour drive each way). We can often arrange for a visit to local points of interest along the way.

Arriving by Bus

Thailand’s safe, comfortable, and inexpensive bus system is a favorite for travelers who wish to conserve their travel budget for more fun and adventure! Take the morning or night bus from Bangkok’s Morchit Northeastern Bus Terminal on Kamphaeng Phet 2 Road near the Chatuchak Market. The bus will stop in Sawangdaendin, and we’ll arrange a free pick-up any time. The night bus gets in around 4 am, and tickets cost about US$15. There are many buses that serve this route but Air Udon is by far the most comfortable and available from counter 55 at Morchit.

Arriving by Train

Several trains leave daily for Udon Thani from Bangkok's Hualampong Railway Station. Visit www.railway.co.th for details. You can arrange with Bird's Paradise Extreme Resort for personal pick-up and drop off at the train station in Udon Thani (approximately $45 USD both ways), or go to the bus terminal near the Robinsons Mall in Udon Thani and take any eastbound bus to Sawangdaendin (one to two hours). Call to arrange a free pick-up any time in Sawangdaendin.

From Udon Thani
Take Thai Super Highway 22 east toward Sakon Nakorn for about 80 kilometers east to Sawangdaendin.
Go through Sawangdaendin and notice the kilometer marker posts as you drive out of town.
Drive to kilometer 85 and take the next available left turn (north) at the 3-way intersection for Ban Tao Hai. There is also a sign for Saimun Airport.
