CHANGE4GOOD was a project launched by one the world's best wingsuit pilots, Jhonathan Florez. The idea behind Change4Good was to create an online movement that would inspire people to transform dates that have been scarred by tragedy into days of joy and transformation. Jhonathan appealed to everybody to pick a date marked for something negative and go out to film doing some good. The dates and best acts would be then announced through CHANGE4GOOD Facebook page. Everything made perfect sense to me but yet left inconsistent impression. Why had to be this project fundraised? Why would somebody like Jhonathan with RedBull behind needed a fundraising for this project that is about to be the biggest wingsuit stunt ever?
On top of that, the fundraising page said, Jhonathan would receive all funds raised even if the US$50,000 target was not met. What happened? Last September, Jhonathan said he had to postpone his act due to political issues. Is it going to be really that big even RedBull doesn't have balls to do it? Why is Jhonathan still wearing the RedBull baseball cap then? Where did the US$50,000 go to? A lot of unanswered questions. Maybe I wrong the whole project and Jhonathan's idea. We all know how can be the wingsuit sport expensive and we don't know what Jhonathan is up to. What I do know though is that I don't like fundraising with not really transparent background. Florez is currently looking for other ways of funding and supporting the project. Is he going to succeed this time? It is your guess.........
