Oribi Gorge Swing - Jumps into the Abyss in South Africa

Oribi Gorge is one of the most thrilling adrenaline activities that you can experience in Africa. Next to a million years formed rocks and fairy tale nature reserve landscape, the two main Oribi attractions are its cliffs and ropes attached to them. Oribi Wild Swing is one of the world's highest bungee swings from the natural platform. Adrex.com welcomes you to an unbelievable „body-flying“ adventure that would surely leave you breathless yet exhilarated.

Oribi Gorge Nature Reserve lies in the eastern part of South Africa in the Oribi Gorge, which is approximately 27 km long, 4 km wide (widest point) and almost 400 meters deep. It was proclaimed a protected South African state forest in 1950, but from the upper parts (privately owned property), the jumps are made possible. The cliffs are situated at the top of Lehr's Waterfall and provide one of the highest and most scenic swings in the world.

You can hurl yourself (or simply step) off the edge of a waterfall to swing into the gaping depths of the 165m (55 storey building ) gorge. Unlike a bungee, where you are strapped by the ankles, you experience the swing securely and comfortably fastened in a full body harness. Moreover, besides enjoying the ultimate rush of the Oribi Gorge Wild Swing you can also try a Zip Line or Abseil down the abyss.

Oribi Gorge Swing is operated by Wild 5 Adventures company. Adrex.com recommends their professional services which include also a possibility of accommodation at their Oribi Gorge Hotel.
