Avaatara: The Hardest Sport Climb in Lebanon

Anyone who watches competitive climbing knows David Lama. In his youth, he burst on the international climbing scene, becoming the youngest climber ever to win a senior stage of the Lead World Cup. Then he disappeared. Not completely though, he just exchanged the competitive scene for hard climbs up in the mountains, away from the glare of spotlights. However his early years cannot be denied and this summer, he took on a stunning 9a in the Baatara Gorge, Lebanon. Lama teamed up with a Lebanese climber to explore the gorge and after bolting the route, he sends it, becoming the first climber to do so.
