We´ve been mentioning the city of Vossevangen already several times here on Adrex.com. According to our readers, it is one of the top European outdoor destinations. Read also the article on Voss Rafting and Voss Skydiving on Adrex.com. Anyway, the stories were just a fraction of what this small picturesque Norwegian town has in store for adrenaline addicts. During the Ekstremsportveko Festival (Veko), athletes can join a lot of different competitions and activities within all the above cited extreme sports. Adrex.com brings you a quick selection of events.
Down the Strandaelvi River there are 3 different races (all taking place on June 24) with various river-skill challenges on the route. Each takes approximately 20-30 minutes and will be from 5 to 7 km long. The interesting point of the races is that all teams must consist of minimum 50% ladies.

There are two main races during the festival, Norwegian Cup race (on Thursday, June 26th) and Veko Bonanza race which takes place on Friday, June 27th. You can participate in both races.

BASE Jumping takes place at Gudvangen. 2014 Heliday at Veko marks a historical demo. It will happen on Friday, June 27. All participants will take part in a show where many aspects of BASE Jumping history will be shown. The big screen, live video recordings and improved cooperation between speaker and athletes are planned. All basejumpers that want to take part have to apply and register in advance.

The highlight of MTB competitions is Agalaus Downhill race. Agalaus means fearless in Norwegian and that is what you should be when joining this competition. On Thursday 26th of June, there will be Agalaus Downhill from Lønahorgi (1410 meters above sea level) to Bavallen.

Climbing - Time and place: Monday 23rd of June from 10:00 – 16:00 and Friday 27th of June from 10:00 – 16:00, Bolstad. Climbing is free of charge, everyone can take part and try it.

Voss is a mecca for paragliding at all levels. Both novice and experienced pilots have a great time in Voss whether it is practicing flying, long distance or acro. The main meeting point for paragliders in Voss is the Minigolf Cafè, downtown Voss.
