Snowpark Mottolino: First Obstacles

Big news for the freestylers: Mottolino snowpark has opened! One of the best European parks that extends over a 120,000 m2 area when fully open draws riders from all around and even overseas. At the moment, there are only a few features available to shred on as the park will be entirely open in the beginning of January , but a 6m kids down box, a 3m flat box, a 10m waterfall rail, a 6m down tube and a 6m long flat banana slide should keep you busy enough by then. When the park reveals all its features, 4 lines with more than 60 obstacles in place will provide even more excitement.

The world’s most famous snowboarders as well as Europe’s best freeride skiers come to Livigno every year, to show off their abilities in this prime Italian snow park. The park has been the stage for a number of world-famous competitions, such as the Burton European Open, River Jump and World Rookie Fest as well as a number of other one-of-the-kind events and photo-shooting sessions.

This year, in addition to all the jumping and jibbing in the park, the resort aims to interpret freestyle in a new way, more free and with everyone’s reach, from beginners to pros. The news have not been officially released yet but the word on the street is that it will be quite revolutionary comparing to the traditional approach. However, some news have already leaked out.

After last year collaboration and the purchase of new structures for the snowpark, the expansion of the S and M line as well as the construction of the bellowed Industry Jibbing Line, Mottolino and Schneester will be back again side by side bearing a lot of news for every fun-in-the-snow lover.

Among the news this season is also the brand new kids' snowpark. It’ll be an area entirely built with plastic structures and small jumps to help every child approaching the snowpark world. It’ll be located out of M'Eating Point Mountain Hut. All new features will be revealed over the next few months so stay tuned for more!
