The ninth edition of the World Team Freediving Championship will be held from 16 to 27 September, in the Gulf of Cagliari, South Sardinia, Italy. Setar Hotel with its 25m outdoor swimming pool will be the logistic base. 12 days, of which 9 days will be official training and competing, the best 120 athletes in the world, representing 25 nations, will push their limits to dive beyond 100 metres to become world champions. Also the 50 freedivers from BlueWorld's large family make up the event's organizing staff. Croatia saw the latest edition in 2012, with France and Czech Republic on the podium in the men's category, and Japan, France and Serbia in the women's.

This wonderful bay stretches from Cape Spartivento to the west, and the renowned village of Villasimius to the east. Midway through, the city of Cagliari overlooks crystal clear waters.

The selected location of the competition is about 15 km from the island's chief town's harbour and airport.
The Hotel Setar (www.hotelsetar.it) will host the dynamic and static competitions in its 25-metre pool.
The constant weight competition will take place just a few minutes boat ride from the hotel. Blue World and Hotel Setar have agreed on special accommodation packages for Athletes, Managers and Accompanying party.
