Gene17Kayaking & il Gatto e la Volpe are the main organizers of the upcoming festival with plenty to offer and most importantly, to welcome paddlers from all over the World in the steep creeking delights of Piemonte, Italy. The Festival is going to be full of various races and contests with competitive classes for everybody (they are not PRO races though) as well as Steep Creeking clinics, and what is more, great evening parties. Adrex.com is mainly focused on races (and the party of course:)) and here is what we can look forward to:
This is a team & individuals race event going down in the famous Alpin Sprint section. The teams are scheduled for the morning and individuals for the noon.
The first outside of Norway, the Sweet Protections’s Rumble BoaterX is an all-or-nothing battle in groups of four. The paddlers will battle through wave after wave for the Sweet Rumble crown.
This will be the most fun of all. A short course race for all paddlers going down the Campertogno rapids. An important note; the Campertogno Sprint is for those only, who won't previously compete in the Sesia Alpin Sprint.
Show off! Whether it is a drop, a high line or a sick slopestyle trick on the Egua’s top drop, everybody will give his best. Also, this event consists of both, a photo & video contest from which a winner arises based on Facebook l7Kayaking page likes. You can post any picture or video of you or your friends going wild. Posts are opened till Friday night, May 23.
If you want compete you should enroll yourself in already on 21 May although the races start from Saturday 24th.
The camp is situated in a large green area, a few hundred meters from Campertogno village. It is about 12 km from the ski resort of Alagna and Mera.
