Last year given his top-class performances, he managed to occupy second place on the European Ranking List and sealed his high-flying ambitions with silver medal at the Europeans in Greece.

With regard to Igor´s last year performances, this Russian athlete joined the club of European Jump Record contenders, that is currently held by the legendary J. Seels with 71,5 metres. (On May the 1st Bojan Schipner (GER) set a new European Jump Record of 71,9m, as of now not yet confirmed by the European Federation).

This year he shone by coming third in the World Cup event in the Australian city of Mandurah.

What he misses, however, among his bragging rights is still gold medal from Europeans so he will doubtlessly be interested in gaining it this year in Melice, Czech Republic.

What or whom do you picture when you hear us say the Czech Republic?

Prague for sure, czech beers and good food, my 1st under 14 europeans and of course badass czech skiers Adam and Daniel.

Would you like to attend the European Championships held in the Czech Republic and just how stoked are you about it?

Super pumped and looking forward to it. I think jump event will be really exciting and hope we will be lucky with weather and conditions.

Is there going to be any special preparationfor this event from your part?

Most likely it will be big pro event in Canada – prowaterski shoot out. I think its a good way to set up a right mood for jumping far at Europeans.

Is it realistic for you to beat the European jump record?

I believe so..

Whom do you currently perceive as the best jumper in Europe?

I guess we can call it Bojan, since he is on top the rating and he is so consistent. But I rather say that there are number of guys who are the best and each of us can go really big.

What would you like us to say to fans and spectators planning on attending the Europeans?
