How do I record gaming content on my computer?

Here are those I have on my main laptop at the moment:

Razer Cortex: Gamecaster (free)

Nvidia Share (free)

Xsplit GameCaster & Broadcaster (free and paid _ I use the paid version)

OBS (free … and AWESOME !!!)

But on a daily basis I find myself only using either Xsplit or OBS.

All the above listed are software, you DO NOT need a hardware solution for recording good video game footage.
