Struggling With 3D Character Design Workflow

I’ve been experimenting with 3D character design for my upcoming game, but I keep running into issues. Either the models look too stiff when rigged, or the textures don’t match the style I’m aiming for. I’m curious how other developers balance creative style with the technical side of optimization.
