King of the Alps 2015 is a Wrap

On the river Passer in northern Italy paddlers from all over the world meet to paddle together and party as hell at the King of the Alps 2015. It was once again great event and everybody had a lot of fun. Top national and international kayakers competed at the spectacular Passeier Valley for the titles of King and Queen of the Alps, based on a mass start marathon and a head-to-head sprint. Besides the competitive part of the event, there were also be many side events for paddlers to enjoy such a participation in kayak courses, guided tours or rafting tours.

Dane Jackson Takes Double Win at the 2015 GoPro Mountain Games

Dane Jackson lived up to the high standards of his family name, taking top honors at two events of the 2015 GoPro Mountain Games: The Coors Light Steep Creek Championships and the Kayak Freestyle. Jackson was among the many athletes to watch during the four-day festival that came to a close this past weekend. He even almost won a triple, competing in the Tudor Ultimate River Challenge, finishing just below one minute behind Brent Redden!

King of the Alps: The Ultimate Whitewater Event is Back

The King of the Alps (KOA) held on the Italian Tyrol is back and after four successfully editions, this race now also became the Extreme kayak European championship. This three days event that starts already on Friday, 12th of June, 2015, takes place in Merano, a wonderful city in the north of Italy. Every year, paddlers from all over the world come to challenge each other for the titles of King and Queen of the Alps not only on the river but also onshore; the movie night on Friday and a huge party with rivers of beer is the favorite part of every paddler at KOA. It's much more than just extreme whitewater and races. So mark your calendars and head to Italy, it's going to be another epic year!

Nouria Newman - Why Kayaking?

Nouria Newman is a witewater kayaker coming from France who has entered a racing scene in the late 2000s.
