Ali Dagi Paragliding, Talas, Kayseri

Ali Dagi (Mount Ali) is one of the most popular Paragliding take offs in Turkey. A perfect flying site is regular host to several competitions including World Cup series and dozens of minor paragliding events. Ali Dagi is located near the town of Kayseri in the Kayseri Province in central part of the country (Central Anatolia). Mount Ali (Ali Dagi) is best accessible from the town of Talas. The ideal flying season for this 1829 m (5999ft) high mountain is in summer but the place is flyable all year round. Its very good thermal conditions allow pilots for a record flying lenghts and heights levels. The longest flights from Ali Dagi take off were over 150 kilometers. As shown on the photos below, the site provides not only an enormous space for taking off but also a vast grassy areas for safe landings at the bottom of the mountain.
