Does Medicare cover hospice care at home?

In my experience, hospice care was a total blessing. My dad, the patient, was 91 and in failing health. There really was no surgery or treatment left to change his health outcome. Dad’s goal was to die at home.
Under hospice care, we were able to receive home aides to help, equipment, and palliative medication. The nurses and aides and counselors and volunteers were all just the most awesome people !
As Dad’s caregiver, I had access to medical advice 24 / 7, as well as instruction on how to navigate the changes my dad would go through.
