Anyone else love wow still?

I see tons and tons of shitposts of people crying about how the game has been ruined and this and that. I have been playing since classic. I have run every expansion and grind the end game every time. I haven’t always loved what they did with the game but the quality of life updates are fantastic. The game is so much more accessible. Quite honestly feels like they kept up with my against curve. Nowadays I want to be able to log in and jump right into the action, which I can almost every time I log in. Sure there are tons of weekly upkeep things to do that I can never cap or maximize because I don’t play as much as I once could because I have a family and business to run, but nevertheless I am having a blast. This will probably get downvoted into oblivion because the general player base has changed dramatically, but I don’t care. I still love wow.

Yup this is me. I used to love the story. Bought a load of the books, and really delved deep into the lore. This has fallen off massively though since Shadowlands. Even if the shadowlands storyline was done well without the weird Sylvanas obsession and other issues I don't think I'd get that into it as it's too high fantasy. I love the low fantasy, bows and arrows, dwarven mountains and elven forests and that whole Tolkienesque vibe. The theme of shadowlands just isn't really for me with robots and delving into the nature of reality etc. I even bought https://wowhunt.com/service/mythic-20-us/ for the game to enjoy.

The huge amount of hours to play, the (if you're lucky) community and yes the story, if you like those kind of storys, yeh. Besides there are a lot of stories behind each race and theri past, so you can go and read that too. And it's and RPG which means you'll stick with your character more than 200 hours, building on him....like a child
