One of the highlights and archipelago´s attractions is scuba-diving with large number of reef sharks.

Jardines de la Reina islands and coral reefs stretch for more than 150 miles and are said to be the third largest barrier reef in the world. The area was declared a natural reserve under the name of Parque Nacional Jardines de la Reina. How to get to Jardines de la Reina

You can go by car or by bus from Havana to Jucaro port (5 hour drive) and then take a 3-hour boat ride to final destinations which is approximately 60 miles south from the Jucaro port. From Havana you drive southeast on Nr.1 Highway until Taguasco, then follow Carretera Central de Cuba (Nr. 10) to the city of Ciego de Avila from which you take Rd. 82 until reaching Jucaro. Avalon is the main boat provider. Tortuga is the floating hotel for divers. Booking in advance is a must.
