150th Anniversary Of The First Ascent Of The Matterhorn

Switzerland's preeminent landmark, the most beautiful and most often photographed mountain in the world, the Matterhorn, has always been a dream of mountaineers. 2015 marks the 150th anniversary of the dramatic first ascent. On this occasion, the Swiss mountain sports gear manufacturer Mammut, who turned 150 two years ago, gave the town of Zermatt a beautiful present: an unforgettable picture of Matterhorn, by installing 60 light sources along Hörnligrat which illuminated the route up to the Matterhorn peak for one evening.
