BaseCamp - The Tallest Climbing Wall on the Planet

Rising up to 164 feet (50 meters), the tallest artificial climbing wall in the U.S. is located in Reno's BaseCamp in Nevada. Not only the tallest wall in the world at the moment but also home to 7,000-square-feet indoor bouldering park with over 2,900 square feet of climbable space. World-class climbing has been brought to the heart of downtown Reno. BaseCamp offers numerous features from beginner to expert level routes, World Championship competition area, the only official 15-meter speed wall in the United States, 15’6″ tall curved Baltic Birchwood Boulders or 17 separate belay stations offering more than 40 top-ropable routes at any given time.

Managed by Brian Sweeney, a climbing professional who has competed and route set on the National and Pro level for several years, he and the rest of the crew make sure you enjoy your time there. Prices start from 17 USD a day, you can simply walk in and rent an equipment on site such as harness, shoes, chalk (rope, belay devices, and daisy chains are available upon request at no additional charge) to be all set and there are numerous climbing classes for members as well as non-members you can enroll in.

BaseCamp is located on the second floor of the Whitney Peak Hotel at 255 N. Virginia Street in Reno, Nevada. Some of the finest climbers competed on BaseCamp ground, namely Sasha DiGiulian and Kevin Jorgeson and you can too, the outdoor climbing is open 7 days a week, year round weather permitting from 6AM to 10PM.
