IFSC Climbing World Cup 2014

The IFSC Climbing World Cup 2014, an increasingly popular sport climbing event, is going to take next place in Chongqing, China, on April 26th and 27th 2014. The disciplines are men and women bouldering and speed climbing. The organiser of the event is Chinese Mountaineering Association (CMA), which is the largest climbing organization in China. Competitions in the two main disciplines are part of the International Federation of Sport Climbing string of world´s best climbers meetings.

Team Quotas and Rules:

Licenses: For all IFSC Events: Only competitors who are or will be at least 16 years of age in the year of the competition and who hold a valid International Licence shall be eligible to compete in an IFSC competition
 
Team officials: Member federations may register up to a maximum of five (5) team officials who
shall be granted free entry into the competition venue. These officials shall be registered via the IFSC
website, must be in possession of a valid international licence and specifically nominated for one of
the following roles:
o One (1) team manager;
o Two (2) team coaches;
o Two (2) qualified medical or para-medical personnel.
 
Deadline: The deadline for team registration [20th, April 2014] shall be five (5) days before the first 
day of the competition. Following this deadline, but subject always […], member federations may, in 
exceptional circumstances, withdraw team members and substitute new team members to replace 
those withdrawn, but may not add to the number of team members registered
 
Start list: Registered competitors not confirmed as present [25th, April 2014] will be deleted from 
the Official Starting List.
 
 
Team registration for world cups: According to IFSC rules Part 3 Event Rules / World Cup 
Series/ 11.4 Subject to Article 11.2.1, member federations may register on the official IFSC registration form a
National Team comprising (where applicable):

o Any current Adult/Youth World/Continental Champion (only for the Discipline in which
they are champion) at the start of the Calendar Year;
o Any competitors ranked tenth (10th) or above on the relevant World Ranking at the
start of the Calendar Year; and
o for each Category and Discipline of the competition:
§ Where the member federation is not the host country: up to four (4)
further competitors; or
§ Where the member federation is the host country: up to twelve (12) further
competitors.
§ If the IFSC decide that confirmation of attendance is not required by
physical attendance at a “Registration” prior to the Technical meeting
then the presence of all persons registered in accordance with Articles
11.4.1 and 11.4.2 must be confirmed by SMS or email to the IFSC Technical
Delegate not later than the time specified on the information sheet
provided by the Organiser (or if no such time is specified, not later than 30
minutes prior to the commencement of the Technical Meeting). This
information must also be sent to the IFSC at sport@ifsc-climbing.org at
the earliest opportunity

Registration Deadline: Sunday, 20th April 2014 at midnight CET 
 
Please send a copy of the competitor list to: cmaclimbing@hotmail.com 
 
Important: 
Please send a list of your Team Officials (manager, coaches and medical staff) and the mobile phone number of the
team manager together with arrival information of the team to: cmaclimbing@hotmail.com
 
Those competitors whose federations have NOT applied for a 2014 International License will NOT be allowed to
compete.

• Whereabouts:
National Federations are requested to send to the IFSC a copy of the competitor list with the following
information:
- Phone number, email and hotel/accommodation (address and phone number) of Team Manager. If no
Team Manager, please nominate an athlete from each Team.

• Confirmation of attendance for delayed arrival:
In case a team is not able to make the registration in time due to flight delays or other unpredictable reasons,
please contact the IFSC Technical Delegate:

• How to get there: 
 
International Direct Flights to Chongqing: 
There are several international direct flights to Chongqing International Airport from Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, 
Hong Kong, Taipei and Kaohsiung. 
 
Via Domestic Flights to Chongqing: 
Fly to main cities of China, e.g. Beijing (Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Urumchi), and transfer to 
Chongqing. 
Staff will pick you up at the Chongqing International Airport. Please remember to send information about 
arriving date, time and flight number to: cmaclimbing@hotmail.com 
 
Airport Bus: 
Price: 15 euros/person (Airport àHotelàAirport ). Paid by cash on board.
