The Vert Jungle - One of its Kind
Designing, building, and skating big ramps has always been Rob's passion, but finding a permanent place to do it was a continuing challenge. His dream of building a giant ramp, and his affinity for sustainable plants, inspired him to create Vert Jungle.
The ramp that is made of 65% recycled materials is one of the ten largest in the world, measuring in at 83' wide, and 13'3" tall with two feet of vert. It also has one full side of Diamond Grind coping, and computer-cut transitions. With such a smooth and solid ramp, tricks are easier and airs are bigger here. The yard is surrounded by bamboo and tropical plants because bamboo creates 30% more oxygen than all other plants, making it an oxygen-enriched zone.

"Vert Jungle has been a dream of mine since I first dropped in on a vert ramp at eleven years old. Growing up getting kicked out of skate spots and listening to neighbors complain made me think that something had to change," Rob Beaudoin
The ramp got started about three years ago, but Rob and his wife Megan only were able to raise enough funds to complete the first half, and frame the second half. As time and money allowed, they added what they could until it was finished. The vert ramp is not the only feature that the couple plan to have. Included will be a mini mega ramp and various concrete features throughout the yard. To keep the ramp busy Rob and Megan do two contests a year (one pro and one masters/amateurs), skate camps, clinics, and private lessons, but they are generally not open to people just dropping by.
ramp refinings are in constant process
If someone would like to skate the ramp, they are open by appointment only, and can be reached by email info@vertjungle.com or phone 805 550 2306, at which point they can give directions to the place.
