Dirt Wars 2015: UK's Premier Dirt Jump Series

The popular Dirt Jump series Dirt Wars is back! Every year, the guys behind the UK's dirt jumping madness's event have managed to better the last year even with the British weather against them. Dirt Wars UK is a Mountain Bike Dirt Jump competition series that started out in 2010 and in 2014 they topped everything they had done before by hosting a round not only at NASS (The National Adventure Sports Show) but also the series final at The Cycle Show at the NEC alongside the Monster Energy Sam Pilgrim Big Air Invitational. So what's in store this year? Check it out.

The series has been and still currently is backed by some of the biggest names in the MTB Industry. "Our aim is to give European riders the best British venues, with a variety of different jump styles, not only to test the rider’s ability throughout the season but also to create the best possible action at the competitions," says Dirt Wars main man, Cliff Barbeary.

For sure, there is going to be a lot of fun to be had. This year's venues will include:

Round 1: Holdshott Trails, Hampshire 31st May

A return to Holdshott trails will be welcome by many as it was viewed as one of the most fun rounds of the year but if you weren’t there then this tried and tested trail spot which will not disappoint from a riders point of view. This spot is on private land and has a mixture of big dirt jumps, twisting trails and slopestyle obstacles, which again will provide one of the most exciting comps of the year.

Round 2: PORC, Kent 21st June

As one of the longest standing Dirt Jump competition venues in the UK, Penshurst Off Road Club (aka PORC) is still a well-used facility. Favoured by those who prefer straight, sender-style jumps rather than more technical trails, PORC will always give an action packed battle amongst the riders.

Round 3: NASS, Shepton Mallet 10th To 12th July

Nass has to be one of the most fun festivals in the UK. Surrounded by extreme sports by day then party hard by night. This year’s music line up will be headlined by the one and only Public Enemy. Last year Dirt Wars UK returned to NASS after a year out and held an open round of the series, This year we will be going full force and making NASS our 2015 FMBA World Tour Bronze event (This will be the only FMBA event in the UK for 2015).  Entry details for this round will be on the Entry info tab at the top of this page.

Round 4: Rocket World, Henstridge Airfield, Somerset 25th/26th July

The most progressive and slopestyle of all the venues, Rocket World takes a more European approach to the course with wooden ramps into dirt landings. Not to forget the 15 feet high platform halfway through the line, dropping you back into the second straight with ample speed for more stunts. Returning for a third year the course will be even gnarlier for this year's comp.

Round 5: To Be Confirmed

This round is all "HUSH HUSH" at present but promises to be a Huge Event on this year’s calendar

Round 6: The Final at Cycle Show 25th September

This year’s final is set to be a big one and will again be heading to the Cycle Show alongside The Monster Energy Sam Pilgrim Invitational.

For entry’s to each round please check the Entry’s tab at the top of the DIRT WARS website to see which rounds are special entry.
