Legendary Val di Sole DH Course - Extreme Biking in Trentino, Italy

Val di Sole’s downhill course is one of the most popular trails amongst both racers and visitors on the World Cup MTB series. The course hosted World Championship in 2008. Many people even cite it as the toughest track on the World Cup calendar. Extremely difficult from top-to-bottom technical course through the forest puts the maximum stress to rider’s skills.

Freeride and downhill for those looking for thrills or just for those who want to try to tackle the descent by bike can use the cable car to the ski lift and then descend on specially made paths. A special professional guides are available to accompany you along the paths. You can rent everything from bikes, to protections and helmets on the spot.

The famous tracks are nicknamed "Dirt" and extreme biking-junkies can try their hand on the dirt path 4x used for the World Championships 2008 and for races of international importance. Its steep gradient and unforgiving holes make it both intimidating and highly physical. Adrex.com adds an incredible ride from this year´s Val di Sole DH World Cup Gee Atherton.

How to get there

The tracks are situated in the Municipality of Commezzadura with the main cable cars leaving from Daolasa.

A network of buses and local trains connect the towns of the valley to each other and also Val di Sole to the provincial capital, Trento. Train is definitely the easiest and quickest way to get to the valley. You can enjoy the amazing MTB trails of the valley and, when you are tired, take advantage of the Dolomiti Express train, modified and equipped to carry 60 bikes,  and then easily go back to your lodging (paying just 2 Euro for your bike). You can reach Daolasa by train from Trento. The train will take you from Trento to Malé and then to the Daolasa station. You can also catch the Bicibus, which  transports  bicycles for the same price.
