Two Weeks ‘til the World’s Best MTB Action in Europe!

The majestic, history-filled slopes of the French Alps, the cult of the fat tire, the mountain biking’s defining celebration is coming. On July 3-6, 2014, these elements come together for four days of show-stopping antics on two wheels as the third year of Crankworx Les 2 Alpes, the only Crankworx event to take place outside of North America, touches down on French soil. Ushering in the third iteration of the only Crankworx event outside of North America are some exciting changes, adding sparkle and grit to competition. Top of mind for many will be the elevation of the Crankworx Les 2 Alpes Slopestyle to a Diamond-level event on the Freeride Mountain Bike (FMB) World Tour. To honor this next-level status, course designers are going hard, adding in new features and some big surprises.

Another highlight will be the Polygon Air DH-iXS European Downhill Cup – in joining the iXS European Cup this downhill event becomes the only French round of Europe's premier downhill mountain bike race series. Race day has also changed from the first day of competition to the last, adding anticipation and momentum. A bigger audience and a stacked roster will be greeting the changes - the event will now be a part of Red Bull’s live broadcasting schedule, and a stacked roster of over 200 riders, and counting, from 17 countries will be ready to shred come race day, including Remi Thirion, Brendan Fairclough and Mick and Tracey Hannah.

If all this weren’t enough, some truly rad company, and a little bit of rock and roll, will be adding some extra flavour to the Les 2 Alpes mix. Ultimate Pump Track Challenge awaits those to master a maze chock-full of berms, doubles and gaps. Red Bull will be hosting the official French premiere of Brandon Semenuk’s latest film, Rad Company. The best riders will compete for the best "whip" in the official "Whip-Off" World Championship - we can look forward to a lot of style. Giant Dual Slalom battleground full of jumps, turns and quick sections, challenging both fourcross specialists and downhillers is another gem that Crankworx has in store for us. Not to mention the Slopestyle competition hosting top riders of the sport including names like past champ Greg Watts, World Champion Brandon Semenuk or the winner of the past RedBull Rampage Cameron Zink.

For fans wanting to get in on all the action, a killer VIP package makes it possible.
