Adrex.com proudly (and the first) presents yet another incredible Goran Colak´s world record and brings you a short interview with the athlete:

What was the dive time? Was it in Belgrade or else?

Dive time was around 4:25 min, I dont know it exatcly as I did not check the video, but according to the people watching the dive it was something like that. Yes, it was in Belgrade, in a swimming pool in Pancevo. A nice 25m pool.

How are your feelings after this record attempt?

Relieved, above all, due to a fateful weekend event, I was not physically and even mentaly ready for the dive, but luckily I managed to do the swim. I want to dedicate this WR to my friend Nicholas, who died on Sunday during CNF dive. (Nicholas Mevoli, American freediver, died on Sunday during the competition in the Bahamas)

Will you start thinking about world record attempt in Static Apnea now or will you focus on the depth disciplines now?

Well, I think we all know that, realistically, such a record cannot be broken just like that, this is the reason why I don´t want to get into it right now. For sure I´ll try to go as high as possible in static also, but it is not my main objective at the moment.

You are for a very long time on the top of ranking in pool freediving. I think that many people wonder from where do you take you motivation and energy for training?

Well, this is what I do, it is simply something I love, somthimes you don´t want to train or you don´t feel like holding your breath, but in order to suceed you just need to find motivation and endurance for these bad times, like I did today. And above all, I really like winning.

This world record closing your season now. Will you take some rest or you will be still in training process?

I´ ll take some rest now, actually I´ll probably have one or two more swims here, if I find motivation to advance this record a bit. I´m not that happy with the distance. But yes, the rest is in order now.

Thanks for the answers and congratulations again.  Photos: Goran Colak  Text: Radek Veverka
