Croatian Freediver Goran Colak Held Breath for 22 minutes and 30 seconds, NWR
Croatian freediver Goran Colak reached another incredible sports performance and added one more sensational entry in the Guinness Book of Records on Sunday. In a specially prepared pool located right on the square in downtown Zagreb he held his breath for a whopping 22 minutes and 30 seconds, beating the previous record of Tom Sietas by 8 seconds. All this in a fairly stressful atmosphere in the presence of hundreds of spectators on the spot, live on television and in the cold and rainy weather.
Goran has shared his initial feelings with his Facebook fans: "It was a bit crazy tonight. In front of a large audience, live and in the main square of Zagreb… I was fighting not just against the time but with rain and cold weather as well. Nevertheless, I managed to hold breath for 22 minutes and 30 seconds (using pure oxygen) and enroll in the Guinness book of Records. Many thanks to everyone who helped me with the organization, especially in Zagreb and to my coach." Huge congratulations from Adrex.com Goran, huge congratulations!
